The No Community Left Behind initiatives has provided new ways to engaging youth in after school hours to keep them
off the streets. One of the key objectives is to build trust relationships with the police and OCH security. Ottawa Police officers
are invited to events and their involvement with youth is ensured at various stages of the youth projects. The results: those
who were already part of some gang activities and those who had developed a negative perception of the law enforcement
were able to turn their thoughts around with the new mutual trust relationship established as a result of consistent activities
organized with a purpose.
